I guess we are dating ourselves. ;)

Ah, Bunny. You and I should have met thirty years ago...

MDT keep sending me catalogues, but these days, I run with them to the recycling bin so I don't see them. Then, I spot something intriguing in one or other of the three classical music magazine to which I subscribe ... and the 'sickness' continues. ;D

That's what I told myself a thousand CDs ago but demon JPC  >:D keeps sending me a glossy magazine every month and I haven't been able to resist temptation.

Tell me sometrhing new! ;D

Solitary Wanderer

Impressive collection Sarge.

Fascinating cataloging system. Wasn't there a gag in High Fidelity about organizing your albums sequentially by purchase?  ;)

Thanks for posting  :)

Is it just me or is Chris a dead ringer for ESPN's Dan Patrick?:

Hiya Bill

Well, I didn't know who Dan Patrick was so I wasn't sure weather to feel flattered or humiliated  ;) so I did a quick Google search to find out if I looked like a movie star, politician, newsreader, mass murderer or maybe even a porn star! ;D Turns out hes a sports broadcaster and whats more hes nine years older than me!

But he is good looking  ;) so thanks for the comparison  :)

It was good to start my day with a laugh  :)

Your download collection beats mine by about 3/1. ;D

well, i think what you are not seeing is really the quality of the music in there, i don't just put ANY recording onto my harddrives, they had to be the best. So, i assure you they are only the best, for instance, if you click "Bruckner", you will see 5 complete cycles: Karajan, Tintner(naxos), Celibidache, Asahina, and Skrowaczewski, so these cycles constitute about 9 gigs.

nah, he is not in the nobodys, people who are in nobodys are those "one-hit" composers, who got famous by writing one or two "famous" pieces, i just didn't bother to create a folder for them.

That's probably the way to show for me as well.
This is my mp3player so it does not have everyting but most classical music I have. The rest of the player is non-classical.

I finally had to do a composer / pianist distinction mostly for live recordings that I didn't want to divide between composers. But the bulk of the music is in the composer main directory, with a very heavy tilt in the way of Bach and Chopin  ::)
