I discovered this composer a few years ago with a cd including 2 concertos (Hombark Concerto for violin and Concerto liliowe for 2 violins) - a cd which I cannot find anywhere on the web now, unfortunately. But if you want to have a fair idea of how Czarnecki's music sounds, you can try this piece for string quartet on youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6z5rrH_oPY

It gives a fair idea of his style, based on folk tunes from the Tatras ; refreshing, colourful and bright. And even if you can find a hint of Martinů 's influence, his language his mostly original. I happened to hear another delightful violin concerto on the Polish radio once (by chance, and I didn't even know it was by him). This is really beautiful and personnal music, it's just a shame you can that hardly find any recording...
