and this?

39 discs.

A couple different father-son pairings.

I am unaware of any piccolo legends.  This disc does include some world premiere recordings, so it may just be worth a stream.

Although the Solti in Europe box was postponed to this Christmas season, we do have a photo of how they'll do the inside sleeves/discs.

Just got word of this new release with Symphonies 8, 9, and 10 from the Berlin Philharmonic and conductor Kirill Petrenko. (The recordings were made on 31 October 2020, 13 November 2020 and 29 October 2021 at the Philharmonie Berlin.)

More info here.

Seems most appetizing! The Ouverture joyeuse from this album was recently released on Spotify, and what a witty, colorful work it is! Also included are his Piano Concerto, Symphonie for strings, and multiple smaller-scale works.

When is it released? I love Satoh's recordings for Carpe Diem.

LATE MAY RELEASES

5 CD reissue box.

These are mostly American spirituals, plus a couple original songs each by Florence Price and Harry T. Burleigh, plus an original by the pianist. Burleigh and the pianist did most of the piano part arranging. For those who don't know, Burleigh was an African American composer and singer who was a colleague of Dvorak and wrote out the parts for the New World Symphony.

Dejan Lazic - Piano Concerto in Istrian Style
Overture (7:51)
Intermezzo (10:07)
Cadenza ad libitum (9:18)
Canone e Rondo on Istrian folk tunes (7:22)
Finale (1:51)

Natko Devcic - Istrian Suite for orchestra (17:44)
Ivan Matetic Ronjgov - Istrian anthem, three versions, one for two "sopile," one for choir, and one orchestral version in theme and "alterations" by Dejan Lazic

According to the program notes, Lazic's concerto - which as you can see above has a rather peculiar structure - is inspired not only by Istrian style and tunes, but ALSO by containing the B-A-C-H, D-S-C-H, A-B-E-G-G, AND F-A-E motifs from past composers. OK...

I am including this just to say that this is NOT the baseball player.
