Just released:

I was quite surprised to see that the opus numbers of the sonatas on the disc were so far apart, I'd like to get my head round any change in style.

If you go to Pavlos Antoniadis's soundcloud page you'll find a Radulescu sonata there - it's the performance which has impressed me most, by far. That being said, I'm listening to Woodward play the op 92 sonata and it's rather good!

I didn't dig that deep, paid no attention to the opus numbers. I've listened to a few Radulescu albums before, and I found them interesting. I find certain attractiveness in spectral music.

It appears that Hyperion is now on Spotify.com
I just spotted a new release of Beethoven's Variations in c minor WoO 80 for solo piano by Angela Hewitt:

Oh yeah!  I want that first Cleveland LvB cycle.  I have no moral qualms snapping up Cleveland Quartet recordings.

The next volume in the ongoing Schubert in English series, one of the least needed things in the history of mankind.

Looks like dueling Bacewicz editions are ongoing...

Has anyone heard this?

When, a few months before his death, Rachmaninov lamented that he no longer had the "strength and fire" to compose, friends reminded him of the Symphonic Dances, so charged with fire and strength. "Yes," he admitted. "I don't know how that happened. That was probably my last flicker."

I have it but have only listened to it once, so no opinion on it yet.

Thank you very much - the thread was seriously off-topic - makes it difficult to navigate through.

You can always keep scrolling. What other navigation is necessary?

But I understand and support the move.
Every single post on the forum is unnecessary. Including the ones that are interesting or useful.
