That an established CD label can typeset a cover this way, with such an unnecessary hyphenation of a word, totally baffles me... ::)
Indeed - truly embarrassing and amateurish.

Maybe it's meant as a joke?

Looks like Michail Lifits has a recording of Prokofiev's Violin Sonatas with Alexandra Conunova in the can.  No release date yet.

Delayed reaction... interested in the Debussy ballets. I have Bavouzet playing the piano versions of all 3 so maybe I can invest in the orchestral versions of the 2 more obscure ones...
I am now working on a discography of the works of Vagn Holmboe. Please visit and also contribute!

Look at that, a Stereophile (ie, John Atkinson) engineered recording on Naxos.  Sound had better be tip-top shelf.  Never been to St Stephens myself.  That area of town is rotten with hipsters.

Indeed - on last year's visit I was in the neighborhood for a National Women's Soccer League game (fun!) and had my favorite meal in Portland about 8 blocks away at a place called Superbite which serves (red alert) (not a joke) (this is real) housemade artisanal Spaghetti-O's.

Very nice!

Women's soccer is a big part of my life as my daughter plays very competitively, representing the Dominican Republic as a member of the senior team.

Awesome!! The game was great - it sold out and the fans were very excited and into it. And the Portland stadium has some pretty nice beer ;)

I'll take it, of course, but I sure wish they would record some Beethoven.

The Nelson led Berlioz looks good, too.  I hope it's audio only, but I don't know if I can resist even if it's DVD/BD.
