According to JPC Germany a complete George Szell 106CD-box is scheduled for August: https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/classic/detail/-/art/complete-box-set/hnum/8141265

I have all the Columbia/Sony recordings that have been released individually on 63 CDs (not counting duplicates with other editions, remasters) plus the Decca/Philips box (5 CDs). I don't know what the other 38 discs (in a106 CD box) might contain. Certainly I'm interested. Which answers Biffo's question:

I am never sure who these massive reissues are aimed at. Surely a Szell fan will have most of this stuff anyway.

Depends on what's in the box. For example, there are many live recordings from Cleveland that have not been widely available. I can hope.

Hopefully the Dacapo Holmboe box will be issued at a special price.

Nice!
That Holmboe looks like a must.

+1 I'm all over that like white on rice. :D

Sneaky how they waited a year after I had painstakingly assembled the individual releases.  Though I have the Bis recording of Kairos/Sinfonias.

A couple of interesting things picked up from mdt's new releases listings:

CACCINI, FRANCESCA La Liberazione Di Ruggiero Dall`isola D`alcina. Huelgas Ensemble / Paul van Nevel. Deutsche Harmonia Mundi 2cds

This was released on Glossa last year, mighty good disc! (Just one, pretty full though. I wonder if Van Nevel just takes slower tempi or includes any additional material.)

Well, it partially answers the question and you are obviously a Szell fan. I can't see myself buying the whole box whatever is in the other 38 discs. I would be possibly interested in the Schumann and Brahms symphonies if they have been remastered but probably not much else.

The Glossa is 79:10, additional material seems an unnecessarily baroque explanation when 2% slower average tempi, or more silence at the end/beginning, would do it.

Anyways it is at single disc price.

Well, CDs go up to 86 minutes now (which, though, it not a good idea: I cannot rip some of those long CDs, no matter if it's Warner/EMI or alpha ... the last tracks will just not work, even when in the player they sound perfect).

But the main interest would of course be: how do the two recordings compare?

Great to see that Lindberg is recording the Pettersson 7th.  I hope the 8th will follow.
Quick follow up, got an email today that he is doing the entire cycle, touring many of the symphonies, and financed some of the DVD bonus documentaries that have come with previous CDs.

Why there are missing letters in Šejna's and Kubelik's names is beyond me. :-\

My parents heard them do the 7th in November 2016 in Oulu, and liked it very much indeed. They might have heard some of the Barefoot songs before but certainly not anything else.

Sofar I've not been overwhelmed by Van Nevel in Italian repertoire.... His Michelangelo Rossi was for instance  crushingly uneventful...

RICCHEZZA, DONATO Los Santos Ninos. Cappella Neapolitana / Antonio Florio. Glossa

I will pick them up, sooner or later. Also Porpora's Germanico.

That looks good!  :)

Sorry, had no idea that was happening.  The forum kept returning an error when I tried to post.

Yes, had the same problem. Got an error message but it turns out that the post was received, and the error message is generated subsequently, possibly updating the main page to reflect the new post. Found myself deleting half a dozen redundant posts before I realized what was happening.

No need to be sorry my friend. I'm just giving you a hard time! Cheers! :D
