Not a repost, I hadn't seen that. It's an exciting reissue because FPZ has been so consistently excellent throughout his career. Although, his excellence has seemingly only increased over time as he's moved on to other labels - Ondine, Hanssler, Sony, BIS.

Wonder when Warner is going to get to the boxed up complete Leif Ove Andsnes.

Some JUNE STUFF

0-7?!
Yes:
No. 0: the teenage (age 14) work in E flat, with a brand-new orchestration by Hermann Dechant for two each flutes, horns, and bassoons, strings, and in the finale only two trumpets and timpani
Nos. 1-5: are numbered as we know them normally
No. 6: in D, Hess 15, written about 1815, a single unfinished movement of which Beethoven fully orchestrated about 250 bars of exposition before growing dissatisfied with the material. Sketches pieced together and development composed by Nicholas Cook, new cadenza and coda composed by Hermann Dechant
No. 7: the violin concerto arrangement Op. 61a

So chronologically, the actual order he wrote them (in this cycle) is 0, 2, 1, 3, 4, 7, 5, 6!

Most definitely Cesar! Just spotted your post. Great cover art too. ;D

Tasty! Count me in as a fan of this orchestra (especially) and conductor, unlike some here. ;)

+1!

At last a new recording of Glass's symphonies. No. 4 is his longest and ambitious symphony. Eager to hear that release, especially.

Me too Cesar!

Likely to cause some interest:Horneman's 'Aladdin' (1864-88), considered one of the best among Danish operas, has now gotten a premiere recording, by Dacapo, from a restored score that was in a bad condition, and apparently just one, abbreviated performance since 1903 (!); only the fine Ouverture is somewhat known from earlier releases

+1 Also great to see a new recording of Taneyev's wonderful Piano Quartet on Naxos!

The overture is absolutely delightful! It's piqued my interest to hear the whole opera.

Release date September 9??? Apparently it's "done" (hence the photo). Amazon France is actually listing it. But 4 more months? Ouch.
It's all good...

What would be unfortunate for you is if they've made this in one of your neighbor countries and it's spending 4 months in a shipping container on a boat going to France so that you can buy it and have it sent back to your part of the world.

Don't worry. I don't think you'll struggle to find any music to listen to in the meantime. ;)

Looks like the Hickox/Davis RVW cycle will get boxed up:

For me, this is one of the most disappointing RVW symphony cycles along with Haitink and the Naxos cycle.

I'm expecting a recording of the whole Belkis that is not a Blu-Ray incarnation as it's the only recording available of the complete ballet.

The Schulhoff, Malipiero, Yoshimatsu and Yun look enticing too.
