This is a great mystery series, very long episodes, though. I just finished S1.

I suspect this isn't the thread you were aiming for.

What is this, I hear you think. The answer is Suite 11b. But what is that?

I see there is a Suite No. 11 for piano (1956) and Fabrizio Ottaviucci is a pianist so I guess it's not like a "b" version of Berio's Sequenza pieces where it's been changed for a different instrument.

That'll be an instant buy for me, but he could have just called it the E Album. And what's with that final track, I wonder...

At least the erstwhile classical majors have finally caught up to the mid 2010s for pop music in terms of cited metrics.  Alas, Ólafsson is but a blip in the streaming world.

Well Sabine Liebner recorded Suite 11 and I can say for sure that what she did sounds nothing like what Fabrizio Ottaviucci does. Try and hear these, they're interesting and show once again how important Scelsi is (like an anticipation of Galina Ustvolskaya.)

The October issue of Gramophone brings the news that in November Decca will release a six-disc box set of previously unreleased material by Radu Lupu.

Excerpt from the magazine text:

The new set will include unreleased Decca masters of Mozart's two piano quartets, K478 and K493, with the Tel Aviv Quartet, and of two Schubert piano sonatas, the C major D840 and the D major D850, both of which have until now been notable gaps in Lupu's Decca discography. Conceived and curated with the support of Radu Lupu's widow, Delia Bugarin, this set also includes the first official release of radio broadcasts from the BBC, Dutch Radio and SWR, featuring repertoire that Lupu never recorded commercially, most notably Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition and Mozart's Piano Concerto No 18, K456. Decca's booklet will include a note by Jessica Duchen, who speaks to musicians who worked with Lupu, as well as tributes from Riccardo Chailly, Zubin Mehta and Murray Perahia.
