Almost all of Finlandia is streamable on Naxos Music Library, but unfortunately is not downloadable from eClassical or ClassicsOnline.
A fair chunk of it is on Qobuz.

Saw this on Presto's site the other day. It captured my interest.
Nobody has to apologise for using their brain.

That isn't taking long (nor should it). But there must be more than just the Op.93 on the CD, right?  (That question is optimistic;  OTOH, I do not think they have performed more which would serve to fill out the CD.)

nor in competing for the favor of wayward friends.

Has anyone listened to this yet? Is it good? Not yet up on Naxos, Qobuz or Spotify
QuoteOn the Challenge Records website you can find samples. Just click on one of the tracks in the tracklisting.

http://www.challengerecords.com/products/1417611854/

The Guardian dismissed it as "lovely, but puzzlingly laid-back."

http://www.theguardian.com/music/2015/apr/23/schubert-string-quartet-in-c-major-cd-review-kuijken-quartet-boulanger

Another, quite similar, review, although the eventual assessment is much more positive:

http://www.allmusic.com/album/MW0002831650

"The result is a poised and balanced reading, delivered with great care and sufficient energy, but not overly dramatized. Highly recommended as one of the best recordings of the string quintet to appear in many years."

It's now on Spotify:

I'm listening to the album, and enjoying it enormously. I'm inclined to agree more with Blair Sanderson's "Yay" review at AllMusic than Kate Mollison's "Nay" review over at The Guardian.

Davidsbundlertanze, Fantasie in C, Geisterveriationen
Cordelia Williams, Piano

This new recording by the supremely gifted Cordelia Williams (Piano Winner, BBC Young Musician 2006) is a unique coupling of three of Schumann's finest works for the instrument.

Contemporaries of the Strauss Family, Vol. 2

Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice / John Georgiadis

Ivanovici, Lincke, Zeller, Fucik, Komzák, Suppé, Rosas, Hellmesberger, Fetrás Labitzky, Schramme

This programme looks beyond the works of the renowned Strauss family. Research by The Johann Strauss Society of Great Britain has uncovered many rare pieces by central European light music composers of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Julius Fucik's humorous march Um Mitternacht includes an imitation of nocturnal cats by the trombones, and Paul Lincke's Overture to his operetta Berliner Luft includes the famous march that is a traditional part of the Berlin New Year Concert.

The Australian-British Sadie Harrison is no ordinary composer: she is also an archaeologist and a professional gardener. Most unusually, one of artists, Peter Sheppard Skarved plays the music inspired by his own painting.

This doesn't look new, but is.  It's the 2015 update of the similar looking 2011 box. A lot more discs, similar price.

Would that be completely (or mostly) in the Oiseau Lyre Baroque box?

These too (four, five and eight discs):

Guess all of the Mendelssohn and Haydn is in the bigger "Symphony Edition", but the Schubert contains more music (as does the Beethoven).

If it's of any use, the forum won't do it automatically, but you can; just insert the "height=xx width=xx after the firts "img" in the link... Here's the Haydn adjusted to 300x300:

It would read like this --I've substituted the [] by {} so that the forum does not think I'm actuallly trying to post an image -- ;) :

{img height=300 width=300}http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81u0LmqbPlL._SL1450_.jpg{/img}

And, if you click on the image, you'lll see it in it's original size . Nothing short of miraculous!  ;D
