First full day of re-quitting smoking.  No problemo.  I had quit August 01, 2001.  Didn't start again until March 16, 2011, when I got separated.  Well, I'm back on the no-smoking bandwagon.  :D

Just a few pieces of Nicorette gum a day, pretty much is all I need for the 1st month and a bit.

Don't miss it one bit.

Now I'm treating myself to Bruckner Symphony No. 7, for my good behavior!   8)

I started smoking when I was 17. Smoked for about 2 months. As soon as I realized I was getting addicted, I stopped and have never looked back.

The thing doesn't do anything good to you. Makes you feel like you need it when you'd be perfectly fine without it (much better that is). Why make such a deal?

I'm gonna make a thread to see what percentage of the people smoke here. I'd be interesting to find out.

OK, I've decided 3 weeks ago, that I was quitting smoking again.  I've smoked for almost 2 years now, after having quit for 10 years.

I went and bought my last pack of cigarettes tonight.

Then, I went over to the drug store, and bought Nicorette Gum (it worked great when I quit 12 years ago, so why not try that again?)  Check.

At the cash register, I was utterly appalled!  >:D  Not because of the price of the Nicorette gum, but the gall of the Canadian government to charge goods and services tax on this product!!   >:D

Well, nevertheless - the good news is I'm quitting smoking and will probably only need one or two boxes at most of the Nicorette gum.  :)
