Ok, here's a treat.

I purchased the late 1960s Musical Heritage Society of New York LP of the Diamond Cello Sonata of 1938 (unrecorded elsewhere). The local music shop in Canberra digitised it for me and here it is. (The companion work is Barber's Cello Sonata of 1932). Both magnificent works, magnificently played. The transfer has come out very well too.

Thank you very much for this! There aren't a ton of notable American cello sonatas besides the ones by Barber and Carter, so it's great to have Diamond's. I'm also glad to see it's an early work - I generally prefer 1930s-40s DD to post-1950 DD. I look forward to hearing it!

The present day Musical Heritage Society have told me, in response to my query, that the date of the disk is in fact 1976.
