Men profess to be lovers of music, but for the most part they give no evidence in their opinions and lives that they have heard it.  ~ Henry David Thoreau

So did Gandhi...

Looking at this picture makes me feel sad for the poor Indian dude who is not allowed to eat any beef.  :(

Indeed. The notion of a beefed-up Ghandi had never before occurred to me; it is mildly disturbing.

Well, he did transcend, didn't he? I bet he wasn't always so portly.

I think he must have eaten normally, but all that meditating made it to where he couldn't burn off as many calories as a normal person would, resulting in weight gain. Just a wild guess.

Speaking of meditation, what's even funner than meditating is Meditation Racing. You should check it out sometime.

Is it like a contrapositive of normal racing, where starting first and finishing last is the supreme attainment to go for?

Exactly. There's much skill and practice required here, because you must trust that nothing will happen while you're in such a vulnerable position. How do you know the guy you're racing against isn't going to quietly run off and pour a bucket of bees over your head?
Plus, there are many races which factor in form, so one person who quits slightly earlier and has much better form may be able to win against someone who wins the race but has poor form (excessive twitching, loud breathing, etc).
