I didn't see this thread in the index so I made it. Any Dhomont fans around these parts?

sounds like he's swiping a "bit" from Frank Zappa
When, a few months before his death, Rachmaninov lamented that he no longer had the "strength and fire" to compose, friends reminded him of the Symphonic Dances, so charged with fire and strength. "Yes," he admitted. "I don't know how that happened. That was probably my last flicker."

Forum member sanantonio has blogged about him previously:

This is okay to post here?  Apologies if not the case.

Anyway, he turned me on to this composer with his review of this ~

Ohhhh sorry...I didn't see that! Perhaps merge this thread with that one?

I'm going with 'Dhomont's Dome', straight, to the point, and spaceage ;)

Though, 'Dhomont's Dimensions' has a nice ring to it...

and no, I can't remember what his music sounds like... not the 'Frankenstein' fella?

'Collected sounds' amd musique concrète I think. Although some of it does sound very space-agey (like 'Novars')

I shall listen to Forêt Profonde tonight. Very cool music.
