Tonight's programme will include a short commercial broadcast "Remembering Heifetz," Itzhak Perlman and several prominent violinists will explain why Jascha Heifetz is still regarded as the greatest violinist of the 20th Century. Other items include are a 1936 performance of the last two movements of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto played by Nathan Milstein conducted by Toscanini. Recordings of Elman and Morini that have been requested by one of the programmes regular listeners
