Been away for a few days - thanks to everyone for all these friendly welcomes.

To 71dB:

There's very little Mondonville on record, but that little is lovely. It could be described as lightweight, perhaps, by some, and I can see why one might think that; but if so, it's lightweight in a shiver-down-the-spine sort of way. The Dominus Regnavit is lip-quiveringly lovely in my view. See http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mondonville-Grands-Motets-Florissants-Christie/dp/B000005E5D/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1238881407&sr=8-1 - there are some short samples at the link.

Elgarian, thanks for the recommendation!  :)
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

I like it Harry.  :)  I'd like it even more if it was a picture of Scarlett Johansson in a "glittery" bikini.  ;D ;)

Ah, that's not what I said, Harry. I'm so impressed by your creativity as to draw a parallel with the wonderful feelings generated within me by a warm, bright sunny day when, with deep pleasure, buoyant spirits, and a feeling close to sheer joy, I reach for my sunglasses.

In fact - oh heck, just to prove it, let's have it one more time:

I think Ray may prefer the glitter applied directly to Ms Johansson, without the interference of any bikini.

Clearly I am very sensitive I guess. ;)
