Post favorite clips from TV, movies, video games, youtube, pornos (just kidding), etc.

I haven't watched this in months, but I just had the same reaction as I did the first time I watched it: just stunned amazement- my favorite clip from anything, anywhere. This is at the end of the game when the main character, Squall, has trippy flashbacks from events that take place earlier in the game, at that point almost like distant memories, considering the length of the game.

The scene starts out with Squall trapped in a desolate area, with music in the background that sounds right in the middle of Wagner and Schoenberg, with a nice, gloomy sky. Something about the way the transitions are subtly done between the music and visuals is mindblowing.

The girl that keeps appearing is Rinoa, who Squall was indifferent towards at first, but eventually realized he cared for her during the time when she was in a coma. He is trying to force his way back into reality by picturing her clearly, but ends up with a distorted version of her each time. The memory of when she first approached him at the ballroom becomes something frustrating. Meanwhile, the memories swirl about with increasing intensity (even the music from previous parts of the game becomes blended in together!). Yet he keeps trying to bring her to the front of his mind.

Or, there's this explanation:
QuoteAt 7:54, Squall's memories play in a loop. Squall realizes that after slaying Ultimecia, he creates a paradox. By killing Ultimecia, Ultimecia transfers her powers to Edea, who in turn transfers powers to Rinoa. Kid Squall's destiny is to defeat the new Ultimecia. The cycle will repeat forever.
At 9:45, Squall realizes the solution to the paradox: Rinoa must die in space with Ultimecia's powers. The thought of being without Rinoa saddens him.

5:50-10:00 is the clip I'm referring to...
10:01-15:05 is either corny or purely ecstaticly bittersweet magic, depending on your perspective (can't decide which, personally)
15:06 is the credits, with that wonderful, wonderful theme

Oh, great- ended just as I was curious about the president's reasoning. This was one of the movies I planned to watch but never got around to.

You mean like this?
http://www.youtube.com/v/vuP6KbIsNK4

delete the "watch?"
replace the "=" of the "v=" with a "/"
so it looks like this: http://www.youtube.com/v/vuP6KbIsNK4
then put the flash tags around it
