Bruckner is God

I don't know if it means anything to the users of this board, but pop singer Whitney Houston is dead at the age of just 48.
Personally I liked her voice and I think she was one of few popular singers who really had talent.
Too bad she didn't respect herself and destroyed her body and voice by abusing drugs.
May she rest in peace.

I was pretty surprised to find about her death too. I'm not a fan of her music or anything, but I do recognize that she had a great voice and was quite influential in the beginning of her career. It's always upsetting to find out that people, like Houston, are drug addicts, especially since she was such a respected vocalist for so long. A lot of it, too, had to do with the person she got involved with romantically and eventually married --- Bobby Brown. He was a bad influence on her from the very beginning I think. But it's too late for all of this now, I hope she's in a better place now.

To be corny but deadly serious:  'We will always love you'   Here is an angel for her...      0:)

I was shocked by the news.  I have etched in my mind hearing on the radio the song from the Bodyguard.  Why?  Because it was on the radio nonstop at the time.  On the bus to school I'd hear it 2-4 times, ditto coming back.  But I always liked it! :D

Also really liked I want to dance with somebody, which is probably my fav. :)
