Definitely interested in this one, BIG TIME!!!!  :)
A very fine disc of fine music. I have it.

I guess the CDs I bought only because I loved the cover should fall into this "blind and impulse" purchase category.

Wait a minute, make that "impulse" but certainly not "blind".

Top of the list: All those Suk CDs from Supraphon, purchased in 1988.
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

Many years ago, the first piano recording I ever bought.  Got it because I liked the cover, and my grandfather's name was Emile:

More recently, I picked this up, and completely love it.  The only Purcell I'd heard previously was part of Dido & Aeneas:

The man that hath no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils.
The motions of his spirit are dull as night,
And his affections dark as Erebus.
Let no such man be trusted.

Kleiber's Brahms 4, Dohnanyi's Mendelssohn 3-5, and Ormandy's Tchaikovsky 5 were impulse purchases for me. But my favorite blind buy has to be the Buena Vista Social Club. :)

They all were, in the beginning.
