Purchased yesterday.

Q

Oh? Oh?? Is that an integral set?

hautbois

The 7th i heard on Youtube...it was pure magic despite the bad sound quality. The 5th, everyone knows about it but getting a copy was hard! Finally...

No, just a single disc:

7e Concerto Comique "La Servante au Bon Tabac"; Concerto Comique "Les Sauvages", with violin variations; Chanson "V'la ce que c'est qu'd'aller au Bois"; 6e Concerto Comique "V'la ce que c'est"; Concerto for Traverso, Op. IV/6; 1e Concerto for Organ, Op. XXVI/1; 14e Concerto Comique "Le Choisy" for horn; Concerto pour Musette de Cour, Op. IV/3; 10e Concerto Comique "Ma Mie Margot"; 3e Concerto Comique - Margoton.

The Blomstedt 7th arrived today! (As probably did the Schiff box yesterday, but I wasn't home, so I'm waiting for the re-delivery.)

Mn dave,

I happen to be working my way through the Richter EMI set. I'm taking one a day and listening to it several times. I just finished disk 6 today. Really enjoying them so far!  8)

I told Stuart last week that I think that EMI box is the best Richter box ever assembled. Even better than the Praga one. Better sound and excellent performances.

Yeah, the consistency of performance and sound quality is outstanding!

Now I'm all excited.  ;D

Well, just put in an order to MDT, most recommendations made on this forum plus some from Fanfare (order attached) - of course, the BIGGEST purchase is the 21-CD box of Haydn's Baryton Works (mostly trios) (of course, I blame Harry completely for that purchase -  ;) ;D)- looking forward to all!   :)

Just picked these up from the used bins.  This includes my official first Richter CD.  Well officially I also own one of the Master series, however that's in a cargo hold over the Atlantic somewhere, not in my CD drawer  ;D

Any comment on this from our resident Richtologist?  It sounded pretty damn good in the car on the way home.

The Dvorak is one of the great Richter PC recordings, a beautiful recording. Richter's Schubert is outstanding. A+! :)

Cool. I saw Richter, Kleiber, and two works I don't have, and said yep, I'm there  :)

Yes, this is one of those absolute classic recordings. I can never understand why EMI never made it part of their GROC series
Cheers
