Interesting set.  Unfortunately, it is OOP and price listed on Amazon is not exactly a bargain.  Not sure if BRO carries it but BRO's search is not the easiest to use either ...

I know I shouldn't, but I found an excellent deal on this and couldn't pass it up (ducks):

Another Beethoven set...... ;D...... $:)......

I'll be curious to hear what you think of this set, Que, as I have been impressed with some of this pianists work and I own none of the piano works by this composer.  :)  Re: Janacek's 'Piano Works' w/ HÃ¥kon Austbo.

George - I've owned that 2-CD Brilliant set for a while (and a number of other performances by Austbo, who I do enjoy) - Jens already gave a 'thumbs up' - I've not listen to other performances of these works, but would not expect any much better; excellent (but short) 10/10 review by Jed Distler on ClassicsToday HERE - Dave  :)

Looks & sounds interesting!  :)

Really.

I own two discs with Weckman's Complete Cantatas -in the same label- and I am completely satisfied with them.

P.S.: Unfortunately, I don't have information about the keyboard disc by Henstra, but I hear a clavichord in several tracks... An excellent thing, for sure.  ;)

No offense or nitpicking... but just by example (it doesn't have to be fancy or with links or tables, of course--even if that'd just be a cut&paste job with the "Quote" function):

Wouldn't it be nice if all images in such a post were roughly the same, reasonable size? (Somewhere between 150 and 300px square.) Just aesthetically and for browsing convenience.

Hindemith, Kammermusik
Abbado et al

LvB, Late String Quartets
Takacs Quartet

Schumann, Symphonies
Zinman, Zurich

The Mandonlin

Bach, S&P

I am usually on a fairly small laptop and prefer the larger images, for the text on the front is easier to read.

Is this 2-CD set the result of combining two single CD's?

Ricercar is THE OOP label if there ever was one!  :P It's good they re-release.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

Yes.

And I believe the CD singles are still available.  I am looking to get this CD set by Rachel Podger on Channel Classics but was confused by the two singles ...

Yes, they are Coop. The total times on both CD's match exactly to the individual releases.

Thanks.  There is no reason for me to pay almost twice the price to get the 2 single CD's when I can get the set.  I just want to make sure they are not different recordings ...     ;D
