The new erato

You're right.  We should be systematic about it and have a sequence of threads:

Items I have ordered
Item's my credit card has been billed for
Items I have received a shipping confirmation for
Items I have received
Items I have removed cellophane from
Items I have listened to

and finally remove all of the unendurable ambiguity that has been plaguing us
You forgot items I will consider listening to.

The new erato

At least, now we know the way to San Jose.

The Diner

I ordered an Argerich CD in anticipation of the next BLA thread.

Opus106

I will order my browser to go to YouTube.

Zemlinsky: String Quartets/LaSalle Quartet/Brilliant Classics

Having just about every recording of the Zemlinsky Quartets, the LaSalle will definitely be my next order.

Sergeant Rock

Spurred on by Lethe's Furtwängler thread, and Mensch's comments about this performance, I finally bought Barenboim's Furtwängler Second, a recording that's been on my wishlist for almost a decade.

That's one off-beat work (and recording) that I've seen at the local brick-and-mortar.

Sounds like my cup of tea. You should hear John Zorn's take on cartoon music. It's quite interesting.

Arrived today: two late romantic monsters by Furtwängler: the 80 minute long Piano Quintet, and the 62 minute Piano Concerto:

I'd love to hear your opinions on both once you get around to them, especially the quintet.
