Well went 'across the pond' tonight to MDT - stimulated by the comments of Premont on the Janssen Bach box, i.e. 20 discs - decided on an order, just $60 there, but had to order some more to help w/ the S&H, so added some other recommendations from my recent readings and reviews - total bill was about $140 for 27 discs - not bad, plus I'll cull out some other recordings from my collection and probably will regain about a third of that cost selling to the Princeton Record Exchange - early Christmas present!

Saw that and was interested.  I recently got the Grimiaux/Klien set and wil be busy with it before reconsidering your box.  Looks good though.

Thanks - I have Uchida's set of Mozarts Piano Sonatas and love it so I think this Disc will be a good one.
I like the repertoire on this Disc especially the K 303 - I will make sure and report on it in the listening thread when I recieve the Disc!.

You've got a great disc there.  In addition to Uchida's wonderful playing, Steinberg is also spot-on.  I very much prefer him to Hahn and her constant vibrato.

Let's see.  I just received a 30 CD Elgar box, seven assorted boxsets from PrestoClassical, the Bohm Ring and three other Wagner operas,  and have a second wave of half a dozen or so boxsets in transit from Presto. Plus 10 CDs left to listen to from the Essential Sibelius set and half of a Vaughn Williams cycle. So what do I do?  Sit back and listen to them all  before I order anything else?

Nah, that would be acting reasonably.

What I really did was order this.

I have 300-400 unplayed CD's most of the time since I never quit ordering new CD's.  I tend to zip through singles and smaller sets (10 or fewer CD's) rather quickly.  The larger boxes always take me months to go through.  It took me some 2 months to listen through the following sets




while the following sets with 40 CD's or more will probably take me another year





Perhaps the following 3 sets would not take as long ...
