To give to her classmates, of course? ;)

I love her charitable attitudes BUT... if she ever give one of my CDs to a classmate...

BTW, one of the first rules she understood was never touching daddy's CDs. She knew that when she was 1 and has never touched any of my CDs. She even tell her mom "don't touch that! They are daddy's!"
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

Veit Bach-a baker who found his greatest pleasure in a little cittern which he took with him even into the mill and played while the grinding was going on. In this way he had a chance to have the rhythm drilled into him. And this was the beginning of a musical inclination in his descendants. JS Bach

Another RVW disc, mainly for Flos Campi. Found this used for less than $4.

Approaching the end of a year-plus long orgy of acquisition, with maybe one more big spasm of spending before I order the flock and get down to contented listening and little else, and start getting out more.  Going to have to take a ~4-month sabbath from procurement.  Basta!

(Really happy to have found a cheap "new" copy of this via Amazon MP, a recording that many sources have offered as a desert island selection; I see it's available in that big EMI Mozart "Collector's Edition" 50cd, along with another OOP item I'd like---the Burgos REQUIEM---but for once, I can't really justify buying such a huge brick when I want so little of it.)

Gérard Lesne French/Italian Cantatas [A. Scarlatti, Caldara, Bononcini, Handel, etc] (5cd)
An impulse buy, though I already know and like Lesne's voice and group.
Who knew Lesne was a Top Male Model?

I have high expectations, Karlo! I'm a big fan of J-Ph Collard from his recordings of Debussy, Ravel & Saint-Saëns.

A fine choice, RVW had a mystical way with a choir.

Excellent choices. The Harnoncourt and Szell are part of my Personal Essentials List...and the Leppard could be. Wonderful performance.

This is a performance that has brought me endless joy (and listening) over the years. The sound isn't perfect, but once you start listening, you forget all about it.

I know I just made a big order but, has this ever happened to you? You want to make one big order and it is to be your last order in a long time. So you put things into your shopping cart and for a few days you keep them there, and add things to it until you really really can not think of another CD that you MUST HAVE. So you click that button.

But as soon as you order, you begin to have that recall or memory or whatever it is that for some reason has been disabled for a week. Suddenly there are 20 CDs that you should have ordered that you somehow just suddenly remembered! Ugh!
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.
