You're a mean old daddy MI. With luck I'll see if I can clean up the mess and at least provide some insight.....

Haha...I like that "a mean old daddy." That should be a bumper sticker. :D

I enjoy seeing what others have purchased because it gives me some ideas of my own.

Likewise. BTW, you don't seem to suffer from lack of ideas of your own.
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

The new erato

For starters, these are laying around and must be recent arrivals (I think):

[asin]B004YJZ8CI[/asin]

A great discovery Casella, though I have yet to hear this disc.

[asin]B004G7FFIA[/asin]

A composer I desperately need to know better.

[asin]B001BWQVSG[/asin]

I needed this, at least I needed the Prokofiev Toccata in this box since hearing it on radio.

Thank you, springrite, but, you know, sometimes two minds are better than one. ;)

Very cool, Erato. Casella is a pretty recent discovery for me and I like his music or what I've heard of it so far. The Argerich box set is, of course, excellent. The woman is simply stunning.

The new erato

This must be new - I think:

A work not in my collection, being a great admirer of Kempe's clean yet intense conducting style, I couldn't avoid buying this at current prices.

I got that as part of my rampage through a local used CD store.   Some of parts of it are very good, some are interesting in a "I'll have to think about it before I can decide if I like it" sort of way.
You don't want to know what I paid for it, even if it was a used copy.  I'll post images when I get a chance to gather them off Amazon.

I have Fricsay's Magic Flute; if the Don Giovanni is just as good, you're in for a treat.

Meanwhile, this landed today from Amazon Marketplace.  Price was about $12US including shipping;  the fact that the digipak arrived rather scrunched up as if it had been sitting on the bottom of a large pile (but otherwise in good shape) might have something to do with the price.

Got my images together, so I'm ready to post about my trip to CD Traders, where I got some stuff for $9.99, some for $6.99, some for $2.99, and some for free because of a buy three get one free deal they had.

But first, I don't think I posted the images from my Barnes and Noble order last Friday, which is pertinent to today's purchase because I was considering ordering the Emerson SQ Bartok, but instead I got:

Which was a good decision because this afternoon I got this for $9.99

and the Emerson Bartok and three others for $6.99

and two of these for free and the others for $2.99

All used of course, but no damage or scratches worth fussing over except on one of the Schubert symphony CDs.

Ditto, although not noticably damaged.
