Thanks, Joe! Ozawa Hall may need to wait for another time -- I'll likely be in the Berkshires a few times over the next couple or three years -- as I don't see much for the times I'm there in August that is of interest/that I could make. There is a concert in the shed about the time of my earlier August trip that I'd like to hear and if it were a day earlier, I'd be certain to make it. I'll have to see whether I can spend an extra day in the area.

It's not really a shed, either. Just flat-topped metal roof. I can't see how it's an issue. If you're near Tanglewood, for heaven's sake, go. There are some nice restuarants in town, too. I just wish I could remember that they're called or where they are.

Oh, and tell that husabnd of yours he still owes me that second CD of the Carter Double Concerto.  ;)

Joe, oh, I know where to eat up there! :D I've been in the area before, just not during the summer season.

As much as I'd like to be of service to you in this regard, I regret that I cannot, as "that husband" moved on to a new relationship (quite some time ago, which I just learned recently) and moved out of the house (recently). I hope you have better luck getting what you are owed out of him than I had!

I heard Gurrelieder in the Shed, and had a great time.

You would have had a good time no matter what you'd heard at Tanglewood, and no matter where you heard Gurrelieder, I suspect!! :D

I will be going to Tanglewood, assuming I can get the hotel to extend my stay. Now I wish I'd opted for the cheap hotel with the two-night minimum rather than the more expensive place that allowed for a one-night stay!! Next summer, I'll know better! :)

HA! If you and the ladies aren't busy a certain evening or two in August, perhaps a ride westward would be a pleasant break from Beantown, hmm? :)
