Mr. Darcy

Does anyone know who the vocal soloists are in the movement II of Nielsen's Sinfonia espansiva under Kuchar/Janáček PO on Brilliant? I can't find the info. anywhere...

Great symphony from a composer that grows on me more and more... Kuchar is good here, but IMO not as good as Bernstein/NYPO or, my favorite, Schønwandt/Danish National SO. No one nails (again, IMO) the opening of I, or that dark little waltz later in the movement any better... Haven't heard Blomstedt/SFSO here but, if it's anything like their symphonies 4 and 5, I may soon choose a new favorite!

Cannot help you, but the mainstays ofmy collection of this wonderful symphony is Schønwandt, Blomsted/SFSO and Bernstein (the first I heard). Can't argue with you there.
