Which is a good thing, every time Radiohead have something good happen to them, god kills a kitten...

Is that a round-a-bout way of saying that Radiohead is nothing more than musical masturbation? :D

Should have used the Black-eyed Peas or Britney.  ::)

Actually yeah I think so.  It's alright if I were to do a poll it would be my favs too like King Crimson and Tool.

Surely, anyone who writes a song entitled "Let's get Retarded" must be acknowledged.  0:)

I don't like Radiohead. The hipsters love them though.

Madonna. I had her on my wall when I was 16.
I love music. Sadly, I'm an audiophile too.

Diletante

My vote goes to Madonna. She's been around for so long, and she's still famous!
Orgullosamente diletante.

Elton should be on the list (following the Beatles and Elvis, in that order.)

None of my favorite artists have reached the pinnacle of popularity that these choices have. The most interesting pop musicians have always been comparative narrowcasters, though not by design in all cases. Among the super-popular I'd choose the Rolling Stones as my personal favorites. Other favorites like the Who and the Byrds would be one notch or 2 down on the popularity meter, along with Brian Wilson and Neil Young. Also, my choices are guitar-centric (not including Wilson, of course, who doesn't seem to like guitars much). Guitars are popular at the second or third levels, but if you look at the top it's filled with singer-songwriters, non-instrumentalists and the odd piano man. And people who dance around. Can John McLaughlin dance? That's something to ponder.  :)
