- Excel file, writing down all works I listened to, keeping track of how many times I listened to a certain work.
- Putting all cd's, box-sets I want to play in the coming hours/ days on a table, having a good overview on it, putting back items I have played.

Do you have aids like this?

Interesting timing on this thread, Henk.  I was considering doing this for my historical recordings as there is so much crossover between labels and many of the same popular pieces were recorded over and over.  I want to at least keep track of what I have.  I will read with interest.
There will never be another era like the Golden Age of Hollywood.  We didn't know how to blow up buildings then so we had no choice but to tell great stories with great characters.-Ben Mankiewicz

If I listen to a cd, I rip it to mp3 first, and it goes into the computer.  If I've already listened to it, it's already in the computer.  If I want to listen to music in the office, I have to rip it to mp3 and put it on my thumbdrive anyway to bring it over to my mp3 player which sits on my desk (it's portable but I don't move it! lol).
