I am snagging this idea from another forum (thanks Bobby, for the idea and your wording!) that deals with a different topic, but is mindless and fun from time to time.

Here's how it works.  Someone starts off by naming a composer or a composition or a conductor or some aspect of a classical music, and the next person says something that is associated with it, the next person says something associated with that, and so on.  Just pop in whenever you feel like it and post a new association.  Let's see how long we can keep this going.  I've seen these types of forum games go on for years...(PS-Mods, please put in the Diner if you believe it fits better there.)

And don't worry about repeating something, this is for fun, no rules except that it be at least tangenitally related to classical music.

So we'll start with....

Beethoven
There will never be another era like the Golden Age of Hollywood.  We didn't know how to blow up buildings then so we had no choice but to tell great stories with great characters.-Ben Mankiewicz
