Hi all, I'm listening to Saint Saëns first piano concerto played by Anna Malikova. At the end of the first movement (from 11:58 to 12:04) there's something that doesn't win me over in the piano section. Reading the score in the Durand edition I cannot find all those sixteen A3 quarter notes in the left hand that I can hear in the performance. Moreover, from 12:05 to 12:11 it seems to me that the left hand is quite different from the score in the quoted edition. So I'd like to know which edition the pianist used for reference.

Thanks,
Luigi

I've got no reply because:

a) I'm asking which is the alternative edition and nobody knows,
b) or no one has ever listened to the Malikova performance,
c) or no one has got the score,
d) or no one can hear the difference I pointed out (maybe I'm wrong)
e) or what else?

Thanks,
Luigi

Why not ask it herself? She seems to me a perfectly nice person.

I'm sure she can explain exactly which score she chose/ worked on/ changed.....

Saint -Saëns first concerto is rather seldom performed . There cannot be that many different editions, I think.

Mrs. Malikova, however, wouldn't be the first pianist to add /embellish/change some notes .
