So far the writers have been imaginative enough that one can hope that the obvious ending will be eschewed.

I see Tony taking the wife and kids into witness protection.... :)

IMO, the last show was a TOTAL failure.
The series just "stopped", it didn't "come to an "end" or to any kind of satisfying conclusion. (Either violently, lovingly or sedately).
I don't know why the writers suffered such a massive blockage? Maybe the camera ran out of film or the studio at which it was being filmed lost electric power?

Anybody else agree or disagree?
"Good", is NOT good enough, when "better" is expected

Mozart

Me and Gurn already said how crappy it was in PMs. And to think I missed the Hannah Montana marathon to watch it!

The show sustained an extremely high level for four seasons or so.  But I feel it has deteriorated a lot in recent seasons so I wasn't expecting much from the finale (which I haven't seen yet, I don't get broadcast TV and have only seen the Sopranos on DVD).

The last show was terrible.  Why am I not surprised?

I've watched the first 5 seasons on DVD boxset and loved them.

Looking forward to the 'final' season, BUT I've heard from people who are watching it on TV that the storylines are drawn out to the point of tedium/frustration.

Doesn't surprise me that the last episode was anti-climatic.

Still, I'm waiting for the boxset and plan to watch the entire series from scratch  :)

The "life goes on" ending was OK and most appropriate for the show.  What sucked was the show playing with you in the last minutes trying to make you believe that Tony was going to get whacked - it was disrespectful to the audience

Mozart

There was only 2 options, he was gonna get killed or life continues as usual. I think everyone would have preferred the first one, dying like a gangster. I would have!
