Hello GMG, i would like to ask for suggestions on musical places to visit in the uk (london) where i will be going to for the first time in my life. The unfortunately hectic schedule means i will only be there for about 5 days. (28th june - 2nd july) Record (2nd hand?) shops, instrument retailers (i am an oboist), sheet music, concerts (i see already a possible Philharmonia orchestra concert). Non musical places of interests are of course welcomed as well. Cheers!

With such a large population, you'd think everything would sell out automatically.  But there is so much going on that a last-minute choice is still possible.

For music shopping, I'll suggest arriving early and talking with other concert-goers and people in the next seats.

As you are an oboist, you might enjoy going to Howarth's,  the mecca for oboists and woodwind players in London  ;)
