Or, on another tack, what's up with all this charnel house porn that passes itself off as a horror movie (Hostel, Anti-Christ, Curb Your Enthusiasm). It simply seems that humanity has gotten so pissed at itself that all that is left is to torture ,... actually, this isn't really a new thing. In the '70s, Pete Walker, I believe, started the "video nasty" in England, and Last House on the Left, et al, promoted the mindless violence genre, blah blah...
