Hello All!

I've been looking for a classical music forum with a decent amount of traffic, and it looks like GMG has just that!

I have a great interest in classical music in general, especially Baroque, Early Music, Chamber, Concertos, Choral, and Solo Instrumental.  I'm also very fond of all things French and English.

I hope to learn much here, and be able to help others as well.

Hello, Cristofori, and welcome to GMG.  Most of the time GMG does have a high level of traffic, so you will probably be very satisfied.  And your musical interests are echoed by many others here.  Have fun!

Welcome Cristofori to the GMG Forum - plenty of us here devoted to the interests you express above!  :D

Now, Bartolomeo Cristofori is generally accepted as the inventor of the piano (but kind of like the early automobile) - so is this the person for the choice of your name and do you have a great interest in keyboard works?  If so, then you will find plenty here of interest to you - i.e. much discussion on keyboard works over the centuries!  Enjoy -  :)

Yes, he did somewhat inspire my name, even though I have no great interest in the man himself at present.

Cristofori is actually my real name in Italian (I think), and it just sounds nice and pretentious for a classical aficionado and occasional seller of music!

However, I am a great lover of all things keyboard! :)
