Now the forum is rather slow and load times are happening at a snail’s pace.

The forum appears to function fine on my laptop, but is on-again-off-again on my Kindle Fire

Rob, whenever you read this (since it is hardly the kind of life or death issue you have been facing), at the moment (midnight, EST) we have about 1,300 "guests."

Of those, about 75% are from ISPs starting with 114.119. Perhaps there's a way of blocking a range? You would know better than I do.

Hope this finds you well, or at least, better. I hear that the fires have subsided in many areas.

Happy to notice that at 10:25 EDT, fewer than 50 "guests." Rob, if you have done anything under the radar, thank you.

(Or maybe bots are just getting bored with Schoenberg.  ;D )

When I click a link to other sites it opens a blank page only. Anyone else with this problem?

The forum is very slow to day, despite the presence of only nine "suspicious" guests.

Yes, GMG is very slow and unpredictable.

For the second night in a row I have experienced a short interval of slow loading and timing out. Last night it went in for about 15 minutes, tomight about 5.

Yes, I've had brief periods the last couple of days as well. Nothing awful, but noticeable.

Same here - a little slowness in loading pages, occasionally. Nothing too serious, though.

It seems I had a bit of an issue just moments ago with the website loading, but now it seems to be doing okay.

Anyone else getting the message "The server is currently under high stress.  Please try again later."  This came up when I clicked on "Show new replies to your posts".

Yes that happens from time to time, nothing new or especially serious. For some reason that particular function gets that message. Possibly it’s more work for the system.
