AGP160 is the third installment featuring the work of the legendary pioneering minimalist composer La Monte Young. This one features his acknowledged masterwork, The Well Tuned Piano, on 5 CDs. I have to admit that I've been preoccupied with other things the past couple of weeks, so I've only begun to be mesmerized by this unique work. But I can say that it makes the work of other minimalists seem, well, maximalist in comparison.

Enjoy!

Come one, Greg, it's only been posted today! I'll be joining in in about 2 hours, but have to finish downloading something else first.

Lol, I see.  ;D
Well, now it has a bunch of seeds (including me)... I see how this is working now, never mind.  :)

A minimalist work, if it want to honor the name, must be minimal. No more that 5 minutes. >:D

Usually the opposite is the case. As Feldman said, the longer the piece the less material you need.

Carlos, you should try Tomasz Sikorski, the Polish minimalist composer (one of the first European minimalists), whose works invariably both consist of extremely reduced material and are very short.
