The political right has , for the most part, finally dropped the ludicrous argument that global warming is not occurring.  However, they have now replaced it with an argument that, I must admit, I find somewhat more compelling:  Global warming is part of the natural cycle of climate change, and there's nothing we can do about it.

I find I cannot dismiss this argument out of hand.  For instance, the area where I am now sitting and sweltering in 30 degree Celsius heat was, only a few thousand years ago, under a mile-thick sheet of glacial ice.

Then there are these new findings about Mars, suggesting that at one point 1/3 of its surface was covered by water:

Obviously, human activity cannot be blamed for that change.

Does anyone know what the counter agruments are to these claims?   I'm not quite ready to concede that we're all going to die, and there's nothing we can do.

Oh, but we are all going to die certainly, and there's nothing we can do. It's the way of all flesh.  ;D

I was a "weatherman" in army (back in 1994). The trainers told us that large cities cause errors to temperature statistics (cities grow and warm nearby weather stations more). This is true but this does not explain global warming (melting of polar glacier etc.).

Warming does not mean we are going to die. It means lower quality of life to us. Other species are in real trouble. This is not a hopeless situation. If people start to do something (fast) the catastrophe is avoidable.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

Right! Being born though means it beyond any doubt.  ;D
