A friend from New York whom I have known for about 15 years but have never met, much like I know most of the people here, passed away this morning. I just got an e-mail from her husband. She's still in her 40's. Just two months ago I was still in contact with her. She's a composer, conductor, producer, lyricist, a student of Lenny, and above all a mother of an autistic child who has been so loving to her daughter and been working to help autistic children around the world. It is through her that I knew about a school for autistic children here in Beijing. I will be working more for that cause in the future in her honor.

Life is so fragile. Treasure every moment and don't be so taken by the trivial stuff that in the end leads nowhere and means nothing.

I want to meet as many of you as possible in the next 20 years. I wish I had met Davina, who was a member here though I don't know if she ever posted. I don't want to regret not meeting some of you when I had the chance. Let me know if you are ever in China. If I go anywhere overseas, I will sure post my schedule here.

Good health, good music and good friends, may we appreciate the gifts and make the most of them.
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

Yes. We behave most of the time as if it isn't, but it's so precarious. I'm sorry you lost your friend.

Me too Paul am sorry to hear about this tragic event, much strength to you.
And so young! :'(

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, Paul.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  It must seem like a double loss, because you never had a chance to meet your friend face to face.

I have been to your beautiful country several times.  If I am lucky enough to come to China again, I'll make sure we have a chance to meet.  And if you get anywhere near Washington, DC, please let me know.
