I'm thinking Agalloch-The Mantle is what you need. You could also check out Cruachan for a Celtic twist on Folk Metal but it is several orders of magnitude lower in quality than the Agalloch. If you like The Mantle then you could also check the bands Empyrium and Fen but at this point we're moving away from folk and heading more into Black. For absolutely top draw Folkish inspired metal but with growls I would thoroughly recommend Drudkh-Autumn Aurora.

Agalloch, not so much. Too black metal.  And I like songs.
