Free for doing reviews you mean?
I expect I have acted on a few of them over the past 3 or 4 years!
Yes, free for doing reviews! That reminds me... I have about 10 to write before I go on holiday in May...

I laughed out loud at this.

When I'm pulling a Hurwitz, I'll usually be honest about it, either by saying, hey, this review was easy to write, or complaining about how hard it was to say something interesting. Right now I'm doing one where I was just tempted to say "I liked it" and sign my name. Though I saw it far too late to reply, there was recently a comment on the MusicWeb discussion boards that my reviews are too self-conscious...

I think you have a writing style that works for you.

I wouldn't be self conscious about being self conscious.
Or about not being self conscious.
Hope this helps.

About CDCDCD, once again I feel like I am sated and don't need any more.  It's kind of like after you get home from a buffet, beginning a serious, long term diet always sounds like a very simple enterprise ::)   (and then you get hungry again ??? ??? ;D)

I did visit a couple of record stores yesterday, and saw nothing that tempted me.  The smaller DHM boxes I had been considering (Schutze, etc.) were disappearing--previously my greatest fear--and I didn't feel anything about it at all.  I'll have to see how long this feeling lasts...
It's all good...

We had a guy here who said that a month or so ago. Do you recall his name?  :P

I am feeling sated too. I have so much yet to listen to. Comes and goes I guess. I haven't even looked since Saturday though. Baby steps!

Yes, I feel pretty full as well, but there is so much to explore.  ;)  The credit card bill is always a useful counterweight medication for cdcdcd...

Yes!! That is a key factor for me as well.  I am doing some moonlighting proofreading work, as well as private tutoring to pay it off. My CDCDCD always recedes at this point, just as vows that I will not allow return to my former ways multiply.  Somehow, however, as soon as things are paid off, I feel I have a little wiggle room, and then the pattern repeats ::)

A year ago, I deleted the bookmark to BRO, pretending that I will not visit that site again. But of course, I still go there and my average order size is about 50 CDs per order.

Just to show how easy it is to access BRO without the bookmark: when I type B, the BRO link comes up automatically.  :D

This could be a horrible "Uh-oh" moment.  What's "BRO"?

$40 for the first four discs (international shipping) ???.  That's a relief! I will not even bother to look further.

I have them shipped to a friend in Los Angeles. Once a year I pick them up or have him ship them to me. The international shipping is ridiculously high, but the price of the discs are unbeatable.

You need someone to ship them to in the US, preferably in Michigan, close to family so you can get them on return trips.  Not family though. Just a thought.
