We made an early night of it, too. We must have been asleep by three o'clock.

In the afternoon? Zounds.

Dude, how do you make an early night of it in the afternoon? I ask only for information . . . .

Happy new year, Daverino!

Yikes! A disapproving tuber!

I like that. It goes on the profile.

Relatively uneventful New Year.  Had the tele on, and there was one of those standard countdown to the new year shows, this one with Denis Matsuev and Yuri Bashmet.

We went to an All-Bach New Year's Eve Concert...and then partying!
A good mix to start the New Year, I think!    :)

Cantata 78, Jesu, der du meine Seele
Cantata 11, Ascension Oratorio, Lobet Gott in seinen Reichen

Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 in G Major, BWV 1049
Concerto for Two Harpsichords in C Minor, BWV 1062

I coulda swore I didn't even hear any fireworks in my neighborhood at 12 this time. I think I heard one or two at 9, but it's kind of odd given that there are so many houses around. In my old neighborhood, I'd be trying to sleep and be annoyed for at least 10 or 20 minutes at that time.
