:(  This is not good news Harry.  My sincerest wishes for a healthy and meaningful recovery.  I'll be seeking your posts for the usual good pointers and advice, no matter how irregular.  At least you have taken some splendid music with you, except Webern. :o    :P
Take it easy Harry.  :-*

Anne

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Harry.

Best wishes, Harry. Thank God for music, eh?

Harry

Thanks for all the good wishes. And yes thank God for music, otherwise it would be tedious. They gave me some pain killers, and therefore I feel much better. They have to repair a few things, and the operation is scheduled on the 24 of February, in the mean time on medication.
So will leave today hospital.
Back to my listening room.

I'm sure everything will turn out well, Harry. Stay positive and listen to lots of music!

Very sorry to read about this Harry, and I hope the next 3 weeks aren't too uncomfortable for you while you're waiting. Wrap yourself warmly in Mozart.

We're the same age, Harry. I find the fifties to be a hard going phase  :P.  Hopefully you'll be like new after the operation and return with undiminished forces. Take care !

I wish you safely pass this bump that life also consists of - and come out stronger on the other side. All the best, Harry!

Harry, just adding my voice to the chorus of well-wishers, and hope you are back in good health soon.  Music should definitely help!

Good to hear that you're not in pain anymore. Hope everything goes well on the 24th.

Het allerbeste, Harry. Ook ik wens je een spoedig herstel.

Spellcheck not working, apparently ...

Well I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by all the good wishes, it made me feel a lot better when pondering some thoughts being in the examination room with fellows that had their hands every where. Nice enough nurses, but they where all looking. Anyway I am on meds now, and feel relaxed enough. They say they can repair things, so I am confident that nothing else is behind all this hubbub. Will let ya all know of course.

In this you are right, although I never expected it, there is truth in the fact that the fifties is a hard going phase. Indeed it is.

From the vagueness of the description I take it the problem is hemorrhoids.   :-[

Geez, that's a relief! I wasn't born until the 60's, and I won't have to face the 2050's for another 40 years! Ha!
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

Beste Harry, alle oprechte wensen, goede moed en beterschap en heel veel muziek als hemelse troost.  :)

Translation: > Spellingcontrole werkt niet, blijkbaar ... <   8)
... music is not only an 'entertainment', nor a mere luxury, but a necessity of the spiritual if not of the physical life, an opening of those magic casements through which we can catch a glimpse of that country where ultimate reality will be found.    RVW, 1948
