My version of the Hunt Lieberson has arrived. It is superb, though I am surprised that no one has commented on the orchestra. It advertises itself as Baroque, the conductor is McGegan and the strings and woodwind sound distinctly HIP. This is 20 years old and predates the attempts to provide authentic Romantic sound, so it is not that kind of experiment, nor does it sound like it.
