I'm currently playing VtMB 2. It doesn't have the multiple endings, plethora of choices, diversity in character design, etc, etc that the original has... but... I still like it.

My backlog of games is yelling at me....so I started playing Persona 5 Royal again.  :-X

SMT V: Vengeance and SMT: III Nocturne on Steam sale is tempting.

A friend of mine gifted me a game called Ixion, which seems to be a kind of city-building game in the vein of Frostpunk except you are an administrator of a station that's like an ark lost in the cold vastness of space.

Seems interesting so far. I'm particularly impressed by the music, which is very atmospheric:

My wife and I do not play computer games.
We play board games.
Right now we are playing:
Command & Colors Ancients
Hadrian's Wall
1565: St. Elmo's Pay. The Great Siege of Malta

I definitely didn't need to start a new playthrough of a large game after starting Assassins Creed Odyssey and Persona 5 Royal again....But I started Metaphor Refantazio again.

Still playing Red Dead Redemption 2, on PS4. For 8 years now, it's been the only game I need - in fact the only game I ever needed. I just drop in and out as the mood takes me: go for a ride, try some new horses, go fishing, play poker in dodgy saloons, chat to people, dispatch a few O'Driscolls, and now and then let the story unfold a bit just to let some new stuff in. It's the fulfilment of a childhood dream, I guess - remembering the immersion in Western movies at children's matinées at the cinema in the 1950s. I never imagined then, that one day in the far future I'd be able to be able to inhabit and ride around in such a world, full of wild beauty, just as easily as reading a book.

Okay, now I've finally beaten Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and all the DLC, and it was a right enjoyable experience. I know some folks complained about how it ended it, but I loved it - it ended as all conspiracies should end - in more conspiracies. The game was a super fun experience, and I only had to go "balls-to-the-walls" a few times. It is definitely the weakest of the main series, in my opinion, but every game in the series, but every game in this series is excellent aka they all get As. I'd rank them Invisible War, Deus Ex, Human Revolution, and Mankind Divided. :)

Next up is still Mafia 3, as I loved Mafia 2, but did not play Mafia 1, as that game didn't really interest me. I was thinking to start up Mass Effect Legendary, as I've never played any of the DLC, but I think I need to jump through some eulas to get that to work, while Mafia 3 is from GoG, so it just works, lol. 8)

Now redacted vent about checkpoint save systems and time misspent because of a button mispress, lol.

Having now been playing Mafia 3 since February 21st, I have to say it is quite literally the perfect game for my daily rhythms. Basically, I play for about an hour a day split into 15-20 minute segments, and this games allows me the full outlet (stealth to violence), and I can select the missions which will highlight the mode I am feeling at the moment. It also is the only game I can think of that plays in a classic manner but stars a black lead, which means I actually identify with the characters actions, motivations, etc., so I am also pleased as punch because of that. It also has a horror mini-story, which legitimately puts me on edge, which means I can only play it when I have the nerve (think of the horror mini-story in Fallout 3, and you will have the exact feeling, and no being godlike doesn't make it any less unnerving, lol).

Yesterday I bought Planet of Lana II but haven't played it yet.  Might spin it up later if I make good progress on taxes.

My Sudoku obsession never ended, and I've started up a club at the school. I've acquired a lot of tricks with variants since that is all I play these days. And maybe I can teach them.

Decided today was the day to beat Mafia 3 - what an experience, I've not had that much fun in a long time, and that game had perfect pacing for my lifestyle. I chose the only ending that made sense to me, and it was lovely. I especially loved the soundtrack as you drove to the final zone - pitch perfect. Next up for me - no clue. Have to look through my library. 8)

Have two triple-a games left on my current to play list:

Fallout 4 and Dragon Age: Inquisition

I own both games on Steam (also, New Vegas is under a dollar!), so my choice will be whichever is easy to get working - I suspect Fallout 4 will be up next, as I think Dragon Age is tied to the Origin platform, lol.

New Vegas will be the hardest to set up but it's the better game out of the three.

Oh, I've spent hundreds of hours in New Vegas. Plus, I own that one on GoG, so no setup is required. Just download and play. 8)

Inquisition is tied to either Origin or the new EA App. (I think Origin might be retired now).  It never gave me issues on my W10 machine (although I havent tried it with windows 11 or non-Windows OS).
n
Inquisition is also my preferred game over the Fallouts, but that's just a personal opinion.

I'm of the same mind, as I loved both DA:O and DA 2, and I even liked what little I got to play of DA:I, so when I have free time, hopefully over this weekend, I'm going to try to get DA:I to work - I suspect a lot of Steam users are very young, unlike myself, and so grew up in the era of videogames-as-convenience, rather than the point-and-click era of the 1990s where games reached the apotheosis of "videogame logic."

I wish that DA:O was easier to play on Modern systems without crashing a fair amount of time due to memory leak.  There are ways to patch it, but thats just another step.

I really wish DA2 wasn't rushed by EA.  As someone who loved DA2, it could have been so much better if it wasnt rushed.

Perhaps it is the contrarian in me, but I loved DA2 more than DAO. For me, I loved that Dynasty Warriors wave combat, and Merrill is simply one of my favorite characters ever, as I love how her naivete affects everyone around her, especially Fenris, lol.

The only character I really loved from DAO was Velanna followed by Shale, but I did love the Dwarven environment - I found that very impressive, but, in the end, I'm a character-driven guy. :)

Edit: I also loved Ser Cauthrien - I always use her sword as my endgame weapon. 8)
