Thank God I never bought anything off of psn!  I have to warn my friends.

So, I have given the DOTA clone League of Legends a chance--I've played about ten games, and my verdict is that it's an excellent and fun game.

And it's free, so don't hesitate to give it a chance if you are the least bit intrigued. Game play footage:

Didn't see Arcanum on the list, so that immediately invalidates it.  ;D

Also saw several crappy console ports.  I call thumbs down! ;D

3 Valve and 3 Blizzard games in the top 10. What a shock ::)

Have been having fun with this for the past week:

The graphics and gameplay are primitive of course, but the battle engine is familiar to me (the developer was formerly known as APE inc., who worked on my favorite game ever, EarthBound) and the endless grinding makes for a comforting backdrop while I listen to music. :)

The endless grinding is the game!   :D

Yeah, when it first came out, I had to choose between Red and Blue, and I think I chose Blue... very addictive, fun game with lots of great memories, many of which involved trading Pokemon with friends. I'm not sure how you would catch 'em all nowadays, though, since nobody plays the original versions anymore.

^But how are you coping with the Playstation Network outage?

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3544727/Sony-PlayStation-net-game-KO-hits-day-5.html

I tried signing up with PS3 Network at one point so I could play some multiplayer on Unchartered 2, but each time I try to sign on it says the network is busy. I know it's not my connection as I test my connection and everything is working properly. I can surf the net with no problem (not that I actually use a PS3 to do, I have my own computer), but the network just won't let me play the multiplayer, so I quit trying. Other than this, I never have bought or will buy from the PS3 store. I have no need for it. I just wanted to play multiplayer and I'm getting pretty frustrated that I can't get on just to play my game.

It's a bummer that people hacked into the network. I thought it was more secure than that.

And I wanted to to log on to the Playstation Network for that reason too--to play Uncharted 2. Up until yesterday I could also still log onto Netflix and stream films and tv shows, but now that's blocked too.

I don't think having access to the store matters all that much, it's just losing online multiplayer that's really frustrating for a lot of people.

Sony REALLY screwed up the security. Key parts of their network had no firewall.

Yeah I gave up on psn and bought a Samsung blu-ray player for all of my streaming.  I'm thinking of giving up on sony, I have a 360 after all.

That's a cool game for sure. Have you played the Mario Galaxy games? I love these too. I'm patiently waiting for the new Legend of Zelda game to come out. A person can only play the Twilight Princess so much. :) I hope it does sometime this year.

DavidW

I've played Super Mario Galaxy 2 and that's very fun.  I haven't played the first one though.
