Ugh

Not a thread about native American classical composers (there must be a few?), but a replica of the gangsta composer names thread. Some native american tribes gave names that were supposed to fit the character of the person - often based on a vision or some recurring traits or habits, etc. Dances with Wolves, Runs with Elk, Sitting Bull, Chews With His Mouth Open - you get the picture. So here goes:

Hammers on Mute Strings (Beethoven)
Walks With Mushrooms (John Cage)
Oscillating Sunbeam (Stockhausen)
"I no longer believe in concerts, the sweat of conductors, and the flying storms of virtuoso's dandruff, and am only interested in recorded music." Edgard Varese

Superhorn

  Dances with rings-Wagner.  Head-in-the-clouds-Bruckner.
