Terry Riley: Ancient Giant Hairy Nude Warriors Racing Down the Slopes of Battle

I have not heard yet heard this work - it is on this week's Hear and Now on R3 - but the title made me laugh and wonder what the music might sound like! It got me thinking about other titles of actual pieces of music that there might be out there and what your favorite might be.

Is that Heedless Watermelon or Headless Watermelon, Karl?

I think it was Waterless Headmelon.

Mine were by Eisler and Morton Subotnick.

Schafer - No longer than 10 minutes. To show you how much orchestras pay attention to composer's wishes my recording by the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra is almost 12 minutes long!
