I start with a set of variations I composed maybe 2 years ago. I don't remember whether I already put it on GMG...?

I hope you are familiar with the original theme in non-German countries.  :)

Nice little morceau, Ralph!

As discussed on my thread - here are the pieces I've written for the girls at my school to perform in our Nine Lessons and Carols service, one a year for the last three years, and the brand new one I posted there today, too. Two years ago I actually wrote a couple, each in just a few minutes on consecutive days, and in the end it was the second one which was performed. Here are both of them, though - I don't think I've posted the other one on my own thread before. So that makes five in total.

There are also a few 'Little Christmas Pieces' I wrote 7 years ago now (feeling old....!) which I rather like and which Guido, in particular, has always been very nice about. They are, essentially, just little settings of carols, but in three cases two related carols are superimposed, part of the idea being to prolong their most beautiful moments by layering them. Recordings available if requested (but they are already linked to on my thread, with the scores, in the links on page one)

First four of seven....

....and the remaining three....

As has Luke, I have had occasion to build up quite a folder of Christmas pieces.

Attached is the score for Hodie Christus natus est, and a sound recording can be found here (on which Alan has commented so kindly).

We crossed, Luke! I have to catch up with these files of your'n, and it will be a pleasure.

Entirely my fault, but that Hodie of yours has slipped me by, Karl - downloading with great anticipation as I type this, because the score looks luscious!

Rappy, that cello piece looks great fun, and though tricky for the instrument, not in an uncomfortable way - in fact, given a good player, it would have a super effect, as it lies nicely! Good stuff!

No question at all of fault! : )
