i would just like to say a thanks to Lisztianwagner and chrome for identifying a song i couldnt think off.
i never liked classical music until recently when i was driving in my van in the borders between scotland/england and the only channel i could get was a classical station and they played a song that i also couldnt identify but turned out to be pomp and circumstance and ever since ive been hooked

thanks

Hi ClassicalNewbie - welcome to the GMG Forum! :)

Might want to try a little Mendelssohn - would suggest Symphony No. 3 & Hebrides Overture, as starters!   8)

Welcome to the forum! I hope you do stick around. There seems to be some new blood floating around, but many of them only post a few times and that's it. I'd like to hear more from you!

My pleasure, and welcome to the forum! :)
Glad you like Pomp & Circumstance, Elgar was absolutely a brilliant composer. Have a nice journey into classical music!
