There is yet again an influx of new Naxos recordings at my local record store. I saw some really promising titles and was wondering whether it's recommended or not by everyone here. Maybe this thread will extend and become a big one like the 'Purchases today' thread.  ::)

Anyways, here are a couple i saw which appealed to me:

STRAVINSKY: Mass / Cantata / Symphony of Psalms (Stravinsky, Vol. 6)
Craft, Robert
Philharmonia Orchestra, St. Luke's Orchestra
Gregg Smith Singers, Simon Joly Chorale
Bogdan, Thomas; Feld, Melanie; Feller, Bart; Hart, Mary Ann; Parloff, Michael; Sherry, Fred; Taylor, Stephen; Wilson-Johnson, David
Naxos
8.557504

ADAMS: Shaker Loops / Wound Dresser / Short Ride in a Fast Machine
Alsop, Marin
Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra
Gunn, Nathan
Naxos
8.559031

FLUTE (THE ART OF THE)
Inui, Madoka; Schmidl, Peter; Schulz, Matthias; Schulz, Wolfgang
Naxos
8.570309

Thankyou for any feedback at all! The manager of the store said that will be more coming tomorrow so i am more than eager to post more questions here.

Although I have not heard any of these, I've read very good comments about the first two.  I bet Karl could weigh in with more comments on the Stravinsky!

PS, cool avatar, hautbois!

That Stravinsky disc is pretty good, though I prefer Ancerl in both Symphony of Psalms and Cantata. I've no idea about the other two.

I have this one. Nothing negative to say about it.  :)
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

We already have the thread you are trying to (re)create here: Recordings That You Are Considering.
